Quality Management
Quality Policy
Our mission is to provide innovative consulting services with a commitment to achieve an enriched society.
To accomplish this, we have an ISO 9001 certification and operate quality management systems (QMSs). ISO 9001 is an international standard for QMSs.
Since the acquisition of an ISO 9001 certification by Koei Research Institute (the predecessor of KRC) in January 1999, we have a quality policy in place and offer high-quality consulting service through the operation and continuous improvement of our QMSs. (Our certification was renewed on January 31, 2023.)
Quality Management Systems (QMSs)
We have built QMSs that comply with ISO 9001:2015 (JISQ 9001:2015) and operate them.
A QMS is a mechanism intended to allow for continuous improvement by standardizing processes for activities within programs and evaluating the establishment and management of quality goals as well as system effectiveness.
Our objective for using QMSs is to continuously improve the quality of our consulting services and their deliverables such as reports, meet expectation of clients and increase their level of satisfaction.
Diversity and Work-Life Balance
To prioritize diversity and facilitate the active participation of women, we have formulated an action plan based on Japan’s Act on the Promotion of Women's Active Engagement in Professional Life. This action plan focuses on setting up a business culture and work environment that make it easier for staff with children to work, regardless of their gender, and improve existing systems. It aims to enable each and every employee to exert their full potential and engage in challenging yet rewarding tasks without concerns. With the belief that diverse perspectives and leadership from women would increase the overall competitiveness of our company, we would like to proactively facilitate the active participation of women.
Action Plan Based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children
We are promoting the improvement of work environment to enable our staff to exert their abilities and achieve a good work-life balance.
Telework Promotion (Work from Home/Satellite Offices)
The ID&E Group provides support and facilitates a balance between the personal and professional lives of its employees by allowing flexible work styles, and it has even adopted a work-at-home system and set up satellite offices for the purpose of building a workplace where people can continue to work during each life stage. We currently have satellite offices in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area including Yokohama and Tsukuba with plans to open more in the future.
By better promoting telework systems, we will build an environment aiming for a variety of work styles and high productivity.
Flextime system
If all employees are present during core hours (10:00 to 15:00) when they must work, it allows for a wide range of arrival and departure times and flexibility in the way employees work.
“L-Boshi” (Level 3) Certification
In June 2018, we received an “L-Boshi” (Level 3) certification, based on a scheme under the Act on the Promotion of Women's Active Engagement in Professional Life.
We were able to maintain this certification level in February 2023.
This certification is given by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan to companies that are making outstanding efforts to facilitate the active participation of women.
We have many female consultants who are active at the global level. We would like to continue pursuing our aim to create a great work environment for all genders.
Systems to Support Work Friendliness
ID&E has put in place a wide range of programs aligning with its approach to diversity as a way to support employees at different stages of life whether having or raising children or caring for sick or elderly family. We not only work to treat employees well but also put in place systems unique to ID&E in addition to legal criteria in an effort to provide a better work-life balance.
Childcare leave
Employees with children under the age of three may take up to 18 months of childcare leave at ID&E. This system goes beyond statutory requirements (up to one year of leave for children under the age of one) to provide an even more comprehensive program.
Sick/injured child leave
Employees who have children in elementary school may take leave to care for a sick or injured child (up to five days of paid leave) in addition to their annual paid leave if their child needs a physical examination, hospital visits or other type of medical care. This system goes beyond statutory requirements (There is no paid or unpaid leave arrangement.) to provide an even more comprehensive program.
Special childcare leave
Employees with a child less than one-year and six months old may take up to ten days of special childcare leave (paid). This system unique to ID&E can be used before and after childcare leave.
Special maternity leave for spouses

Extended nursing care leave
