Sector Overview

In the past, the public sector played a lead role in the construction, operation, maintenance, and management of public infrastructure development in developing countries. Recently, there has been an increase in projects that introduced public-private partnerships (PPPs) to secure more effective and efficient development of public infrastructure under an appropriate sharing of roles and responsibilities between the public and private sectors.

We provide the following comprehensive support for improvement of the business environment in developing countries:

  • Support capacity building for PPP related organizations and , formulation of relevant regulations;
  • Study on measures to ensure bankability of a project (e.g. government guarantee and viability gap funding);
  • Examine financial viability of the PPP projects and propose reasonable funding scheme; and
  • Design of tender scheme and project implementation scheme.

We also offer our services for designing two-step loans extended by government-affiliated financial institutions for the development of local industries and infrastructure and supporting its implementation. We also offer our services for study/research, consulting, and project management for the relevant government agencies for institutional strengthening and capacity development.
